Long-standing small businesses in San Francisco can join the Registry for recognition, marketing and business help, and grants. The business must have operated in San Francisco for 30 years or more, had no break in SF operations for more than 2 years, contributed to San Francisco's history or identity and also be committed to keeping its history alive.

Any Etsy seller who has experienced a federally declared disaster within the past year may apply for a grant, as long as they’ve been an active seller on Etsy for at least one year, and their accounts with Etsy are in good standing. The amount and frequency of grants will depend on the amount of money available in the fund at any given time.

The BEACH Program (Bronco Entrepreneurs Advisory Clinic Hours) at Santa Clara University offers free informational appointments to entrepreneurs and small business owners in the community. The appointment will be with teams of legal and business professionals partnered with SCU law and business students.

The Black Founder Startup Grant program from the SoGal Foundation and other sponsors provides grants of up to $10,000 to Black and multiracial women and nonbinary entrepreneurs. The program accepts applications on a rolling basis and is open to entrepreneurs with a legally registered business who plan to seek investor financing to scale.
 

An initiative dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs in New York City. The EmpowerHer Fund's mission is to uplift innovative business ideas and community-focused projects that empower women and drive positive change. 

Applications will be accepted starting January 1, 2026, and will be accepted quarterly until the end of the year. 

Metro’s Business Interruption Fund (BIF) provides financial assistance to small “mom and pop” businesses located along the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, the Little Tokyo area and the 2nd/Broadway segment* along the Regional Connector and Section 1, Section 2 and Section 3 of the D Line Extension, and the East San Fernando Valley Light Rail Transit Project that are impacted by transit rail construction. Metro’s goal is to help small businesses continue to thrive throughout construction and post construction.
