Metro’s Business Interruption Fund (BIF) provides financial assistance to small “mom and pop” businesses located along the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, the Little Tokyo area and the 2nd/Broadway segment* along the Regional Connector and Section 1, Section 2 and Section 3 of the D Line Extension, and the East San Fernando Valley Light Rail Transit Project that are impacted by transit rail construction. Metro’s goal is to help small businesses continue to thrive throughout construction and post construction. 

The Breva Thrive Grant supports small businesses making an impact in their communities. Every quarter they award a $5,000 grant to an entrepreneur who is having a positive impact in an underrepresented community.

Grants up to $10,000 plus mentoring and point-of-sale tech access for very small businesses (≤10 employees, ≤$500K revenue) in low-to-moderate income Southern California communities in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino counties.

Five matching-fund grant programs ($10,000-$50,000, generally 1:1 private match) for businesses/property owners in Downtown El Paso funding exterior renovation, signage/lighting, pedestrian improvements, murals, or residential-conversion utility upgrades.

$10,000–$30,000+ for new-to-Albany retail businesses opening downtown, or existing downtown retailers making exterior/renovation improvements.

Reimbursable grant up to $2,000 for downtown small businesses covering repair/cleaning costs from vandalism, graffiti, or damage.
