At the Minneapolis Foundation, these include the Salt Cure Restaurant Recovery Fund, spearheaded by local food writer Stephanie March and others in the hospitality industry, which has raised and distributed nearly $1.5 million to more than 200 restaurants. Minnesota restaurants facing hardship can apply for this grant.

Reimburses Wyoming employers for costs of correcting employee skill deficiencies or upgrading skills, $3,000–$5,000 per trainee per fiscal year depending on industry.

Provides up to $5,000 to new, expanding, relocating, or ownership-transitioning small businesses in Jacksonville, AL for equipment or moving/establishment costs.

Funds customized training for net-new, full-time employees at new or expanding Florida businesses; $7.5 million allocated for the program. Rolling applications with no fixed deadline; ends when funds are no longer available.

The Women’s Business Development Council offers grants of up to $10,000 to qualified women-owned small businesses in Connecticut. Grants between $2,500 and $10,000 for clearly defined projects that will have a measurable impact on the business, its growth and profitability.

The next round of Ignite will open in early 2027.
