California Paid Family Leave Small Business Grant

Small businesses in California with 1-100 employees with at least one (1) employee utilizing California’s Paid Family Leave program (on or after June 1, 2024) are eligible to apply for grants up to $2,000 per employee on PFL to offset the increased costs associated with the employee out on leave.

Santander’s Cultivate Small Business program

Santander’s Cultivate Small Business program is designed to support the growth of early-stage food businesses in emerging neighborhoods with a focus on woman-, BIPOC- and immigrant-owned businesses. The 12-week, fully virtual program is completely free to entrepreneurs and provides owners with industry-specific education, networks and mentoring, along with capital grants of up to $13,000 for qualifying graduates of the program.

Giving Joy helps women establish or improve their businesses and initiatives—for their benefit and the benefit of their communities. Giving Joy grants are one-time micro grants for women ages 18 and up from any country in the world.

ReFashion Pitch Competition

The FY 25 ReFashion Pitch Competition is an opportunity for businesses to pitch a problem or opportunity in the sustainable fashion market with a viable solution. The pitch award will range between $2,500 and $6,000 per winner and will be held during National Small Business Week in May 2025.

Amber Grants for Women

Each month, the Amber Grant awards $10,000 to a women-owned small business. Additionally, they offer three $25,000 grants each year to one of the monthly grant winners.

2025 Aspire Program

The Department of Small and Local Business Development
State(s): DC

The Aspire Incubator Program is a cohort-based training program for up to 20 DC residents who are returning citizens and/or justice-involved, starting or growing a DC-based business. The Aspire Incubator Program is an opportunity for participants to grow DC-based microbusinesses within a community of support and receive stipends for completing various business development milestones for up to $5,000 in direct stipends.
