North Branch Works

North Branch Works offers a micro loan product for small businesses located in and around the North River, Addison, and Kennedy/Kimball Industrial Corridors. For over 30 years, NBW's local expertise and deep city and neighborhood relationships have helped promote economic development linked to workforce development and job creation. NBW emphasizes new growth, proper land use and area revitalization through its business advocacy and innovative solutions.

North Carolina State University Small Business & Technology Development Center

The Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) has helped North Carolina businesses grow and create new jobs since 1984. They provide management counseling and educational services to small and mid-sized businesses. Most of their services are free and all are confidential. By providing entrepreneurs with the tools they need to build and grow successful businesses, the SBTDC positively impacts NC’s economy.
