National Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15 through October 15, and whether you're a part of the community or cheering on in support, this September is the perfect opportunity to elevate Hispanic and Latino owned small businesses. As of 2023, there are five million Latino-owned businesses in the United States, to aid this growth, here are five resources we think would benefit your small business this National Hispanic Heritage Month!
In the last year, the business landscape has dramatically shifted for small businesses, prompting them to rethink their business strategy and adapt in order to survive the pandemic. From constant changes in masking orders, workplace capacity and reopening guidelines, small business owners need guidance on how to operate and thrive while the economic recovery is underway.

Did you know there are more than 2.5 million veteran-owned businesses in the U.S? Our nation’s veterans are hard-working, resilient and resourceful, making them specially equipped for entrepreneurship.

You’ve been thinking about starting a small business for a while, and you’ve even done your homework to try out your idea. Hopefully you’ve read our other posts in this series for advice on validating your idea, doing a bit of market research, thinking through the financials and testing the waters by starting your business on the side. While you’ve successfully taken some steps towards becoming your own boss, we’re here to provide more guidance on certain aspects of launching a business.

National Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15 through October 15, and it’s the perfect time to celebrate the contributions of Hispanic small business owners to our nation’s economy and discuss how we can help them thrive and grow their businesses.

Venturize is excited to announce a new partnership with CO.STARTERS, a network that helps communities build thriving entrepreneurial ecosystems by equipping them with strategy, tools and resources. Kamiya and Tess are just one of many success stories to come out of a CO.STARTERS program, and you could be their next.
Venturize is proud to partner with the Veterans Business Resource Center (VBRC), an organization based in Missouri that provides mentorship and trainings for veteran small business owners, while also assisting their transition back to civilian life. Not only is the VBRC a strategic partner of our parent organization, Small Business Majority, but they have also partnered with us to bring our lending resources to their expanding network of veterans. In honor of Veterans Day this week, we sat down with the VBRC to learn more about resources and tips for veteran entrepreneurs.
