February isn’t just about celebrating Black history–it’s about honoring the past, the present and investing in the future. Throughout this month, business and community organizations recognize the significant contributions of Black communities and their immense power in business. This is why we’ve compiled a select list of grant programs that small business owners can take advantage of during Black History Month and beyond.

Center For Economic Inclusion Vanguard Accelerator

Founders First CDC, Center for Economic Inclusion

The Center for Economic Inclusion Vanguard Accelerator is offering Latina and Black women-owned businesses in select cities in Minnesota the capital investment and funding to accelerate their growth. Deadline is February 21, 2024.

Invest in Progress Grant

The BOSS Impact Fund, Sage, Hello Alice

The Invest in Progress Grant focuses on investing in Black women-led businesses and preparing these entrepreneurs to build scalable, growth aggressive companies. Select applicants will receive $10,000 in grant funding, in addition to 1 year of mentorship, resources, and much more. Deadline is February 23, 2024 at 6pm ET.

Small Certified Supplier Innovative Finance Program

Founders First Capital Partners 

Businesses headquartered in California, Georgia, Kansas, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, or Washington, with an active small business certification may be eligible for the Small Certified Supplier Innovative Finance Program. The Small Certified Supplier Innovative Finance Program is designed to engage diverse suppliers in educational funding readiness training and funder matchmaking to support capacity building. Deadline is March 4, 2024.

Hidden Star

Galaxy Grants help women and minority entrepreneurs succeed throughout their small business journey by providing important resources, tools, funding and knowledge. Deadline is March 31, 2024.

HerRise Micro-Grant 

HerSuiteSpot

The HerRise Micro-Grant provides financial assistance, with the help of corporate sponsors and donors, to women of color creating innovative solutions that impact their community and that are often unable to secure funding for their small business. Every month a committee selects a winner from submitted applications. Apply by 11:59pm on the last day of the month to be eligible for that month.
