Health Care and Public Charge

Under CCT funding and program officer support recommendation on use of remaining funds, partnered with Little Village Chamber and Healthy Illinois to hold a roundtable discussion with members on the Trump Administration proposed public charge rule linking access to ACA subsidized coverage and Medicaid, plus SNAP and EITC to impeding a person's status as a green card holder to obtain citizenship if they access, or sponsor a dependent beneficiary of health and social services whether said dependent is a US citizen or not -- leading to more uninsured and rising health premiums.
