When entrepreneurs strike out on their own, they often leave behind the salary and benefits an employer provides. Many entrepreneurs become responsible for healthcare, retirement savings, and other necessities they, their families, and their employees depend on. This can be especially challenging for entrepreneurs with little savings to draw on and for whom access to a safety net is particularly important.

In this forum Small Business Majority CEO John Arensmeyer will join researchers, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders for a discussion on the current landscape of the U.S. social safety net, and its impacts on entrepreneurship. We will also share the potential opportunities and solutions to better support entrepreneurs.
