From plunging revenues to shuttered storefronts, it’s no secret that the COVID-19 public health crisis has driven many small businesses to the brink of collapse. Throughout the pandemic, research and real stories of small business owners have shed a light on what the small business community has endured, the disproportionate impacts on communities of color and what small businesses need to survive the ongoing crisis.

With the one-year mark of the first shutdowns just behind us, what do small businesses need now to support them on their road to recovery? This event will present compelling research data from Small Business Majority and other organizations, as well as stories from small businesses about what they have faced and how they’ve adapted during the pandemic. We’ll then discuss how bold policymaking can help ensure an equitable small business recovery.

This event will convene business organizations, policymakers and philanthropic organizations that have a vested interest in supporting small business.
